Jaya Judy Seeley, Artist
Jaya began painting as a teen in Durham, NC. Her professional experience includes Medical Illustration at Duke University and that of Color Specialist, Etcher, and Retoucher. Studies in Fiber Art at the Appalachian Center for Art and Craft and John C. Campbell Folk School encouraged her love for detail.
Jaya’s art is inspired by the beauty of nature, places, and events. She brings colorful expressions to life, whether it is a sunset on a Santa Fe patio, an early spring day in Kingston, TN, or the sights and sounds of the New Orleans Garden District.
Jaya currently resides in Batesville, MS, with her husband and two standard poodles. She spends most days in her studio.
